I wish these bars weren't as effective as it would make it easier to go back to normal bars on my other bikes.
I love the comfort these provide in the bump axis while still being VERY stiff in the steering axis
I first started riding these on my 170mm travel enduro bike and I think it's most effective on higher frequency chatter (like braking bumps). It allowed me to run a firmer, more supportive setup without compromising comfort.
I also tried it on my shorter travel 140mm trail bike and I found the improvement to be possibly even more important. It extended the range of capability of the bike as speeds increase since you just don't get as beaten up. Again, I could run a firmer suspension on my fork without reducing comfort.
Downsides... You need to service your handlebar. And it is also a good idea to have some elastomers spare as these do degrade over time. Just a little TLC now and then.
I love protecting from branches for my hands and brake levers. The weight doesn’t bother me on an E bike.
Great fit work great also great selection of colors for the graphics to place on the hand guards. Didn’t go with other brands that used metal hardware. These have been plenty strong to stop brush and branches from grabbing my levers 👍 www.meilicycling.com test rider. Instagram @futch_n_blsht
These are the best guards I have found so far. The shape and style is much better than the Acerbis ones. I am also very happy the mount is plastic. I believe that the metal mounts of some of the competitors could be dangerous to the handlebars in crashes. The sturdy plastic mounts are the right design choice. Great job on the design, execution, and pricing!
