I love the bar and used it over 2 years. I had Enve carbon handlebars before I purchased this. The difference is night and day. Although I don't feel the flex on hits or a day at a bike park, your arms don't feel that arm pump after hours of riding which is a game changer for me. I have installed on my ebike with a 38 FOX fork and had on a Santa Cruz Hightower with 36 fork previously, and it works on both bikes. At 54 years young I thought it was a great investment to alleviate should pain. I am glad I can still ride gnar and techy with confidence without feeling all of the pain afterwards. I just got the refresh kit and some elastomers. The bike felt in smoother this past weekend ride.
I was using extra soft for maximum bump absorption but my intensity has increased so I’ve swapped to medium and am very happy
I'm disappointed that the original elastomers failed and had to be replaced. While I do enjoy rugged, rocky trails, I'm 80 years old and only weigh 130 lbs so it's hard to believe that I could destroy them.
Hello Dale,
Thank you for your review. Even at your age and weight, the softer elastomers will wear out faster. Blue being the sofest will need to be replaced more often than the red for example. It looks like your Flexx bars are about a year old, which, with normal riding is about how long you should expect the blue elastomers to last. Yearly maintenace on a moving pivot point and elastomers is to be expected. Thank you for your business and please reach out to us directly with any further questions.
